As the founder of dataJAR, James took an idea and built it into a high-performing managed service provider, earning a reputation for innovation, reliability, and a customer-first approach. Under his leadership, dataJAR became a respected name in the market, culminating in its successful acquisition by Jamf in 2023.
Today, James is channelling that hard-earned experience into helping other businesses grow—whether they’re just starting out or looking to scale. He focuses on supporting MSPs and start-ups within the Apple ecosystem, offering practical, actionable advice that bridges the gap between technical complexity and commercial success.

David is an experienced founder, Managing Director, and technology enthusiast, equally at home on both the buy and sell sides of the table. With a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, he brings deep, hands-on experience managing the full M&A lifecycle—from deal sourcing and negotiation through to integration and beyond.
Having successfully led two cloud MSPs through private equity exits, David launched his own MSP in 2017, which he exited to the Ekco Group in 2020. Five years and seven acquisitions later, he often reflects, “I wish I knew then what I know now.” That insight underpins his work today—cutting through the noise to tackle the real-world challenges of launching, running, acquiring, and funding businesses in the MSP space.
David combines commercial acumen with deep expertise in cloud technology and growth strategy, earning a reputation as a trusted adviser who helps unlock long-term value and drive scalable success. As he once said to his co-founder, “If I could go back and talk to the man I was before we sold, what would I tell him?” That moment sparked a shared mission: to become the adviser they once wished they had. And from that, Ripe Apple was born.
